BoDean and the Poachers
BoDean and The Poachers brought their unique sound to downtown Buena Vista last Friday evening, April 2, 2021 as the latest group to perform at Fox Hall.
They were joined on stage by local musician Buck Bradshaw.
While technically newcomers to the Georgia music scene, the group is not new to rocking (country/blues style).
Lead guitarist and singer-songwriter, Brandon Fox taught himself guitar at age 9. By age 15, he was playing with distinguished musicians 30 years his senior and considered one of the best guitarists in the region. Brandon’s distinct sound has made him a staple of the Bo Henry Band for the past two decades. That band has opened up for The Marshall Band and played prolific venues such as The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.
The other half of the band consists of Shane Brown and Chris Overman, who are also a part of BoDean and The Poachers & The Evergreen Family Band that has played amongst the likes of critically acclaimed artists such as Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown, the Travelin’ McCourys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Del McCoury, and David Grisman.
The new band is set apart from their former groups by the fact that they only perform original songs, including Frog Legs, I Ain’t a Saint, and Called You Home.
